About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Systems Administrator to manage and maintain our company's computer systems, networks, servers, and software applications. The IT Systems Administrator will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our technology infrastructure, ensuring system reliability, performance, security, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, servers, network devices, and software applications.

• Monitor and maintain network security, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software.

• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues, including system crashes, performance problems, and network connectivity problems.

• Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery procedures to ensure business continuity.

• Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and wireless access points.

• Work with other members of the IT team to design and implement new systems and technologies to meet business needs.

• Maintain and update documentation for all systems, processes, and procedures.

• Provide end-user support and training as needed.

• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.

Working Conditions:

The IT Systems Administrator will work in an office environment, and may occasionally be required to work outside of regular business hours to perform system maintenance and upgrades. The position may require some travel to remote offices or data centers.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT Systems Administration.

  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.

  • Experience with network technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.

  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMWare and Hyper-V.

  • Knowledge of cloud computing technologies such as AWS or Azure.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Professional certifications such as Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) or CompTIA A+ are a plus.
